The routine of caring for your teeth is an important one. It involves daily activities that help to clean your teeth, and biannual activities to get them checked out thoroughly. You need to make sure you stick to this routine.
Messing around with the routine can leave your teeth facing problems, such as cavities. Plus, it can also increase the likelihood of you facing something like gum disease.
The Type of Routine You Need for Healthy Teeth
What you need to do is have a regular, daily routine to start when you want the healthiest teeth possible. Start off with brushing your teeth two times each day. Then, one of those times, you want to make sure that you go in and floss, too.
The time you floss, you should also make sure to rinse your mouth out with a good mouthwash. This should be free of alcohol, but be antimicrobial.
Then, you want to make sure when you brush, you clean off every surface of your mouth, including the roof of your mouth and your tongue. You also want to make sure you come in and see us every six months.
This is to help check out your teeth for signs of a problem, plus, clean them really well. We scrape off any tartar that has built up, and we make sure your teeth and gums look good.
If you stick to this simple routine, your teeth can look and feel amazing your entire life. Little things may come up during that time, such as a root canal, or even a cavity.
